Noble Creek area, even from entry outside the park, is my favorite area of the park (lots of shade). This loop begins at Horse Camp inside the Park ($10 fee - have to have exact change usually). You can also start this hike from just outside the park and leave your car on Avenida Altura Bella (there's a sign right there at the trail entrance). We suggest going clockwise if following this route. Part of the hike is "back country" until you meet the ridge. You can also make this a bigger loop if you combine it with my Ridge Trail loop. If you do this, we suggest counterclockwise. Note - in late January, there were lots of Ticks in the "back country". Do frequent Tick checks. At the fire road junction it's double track with great views back down to Horse Camp.

I would suggest taking the boring fire road on the way up. That way on the way down you hit the trail that's a little more scenic.
