This trail is not in great shape - half of it has ruts in the ground. Some of the ruts span the width of the trail making them tough to avoid. The views from the top are great and I like the challenging elevation but I'll look for better trails than this one.

As soon as we started walking on the trail we started hearing rattling which happens sometimes but it quickly got louder and louder and sounded like multiple snakes were slithering towards us so we ran as fast as we could out of there. There are NO rattlesnake signs from the start of where this map leads you.

Not easy! The trail uphill (counter-clockwise loop) is technically challenging due to ruts. There are easier ways to get similar views of the valley and canyons leading up to Mulholland. If however you're looking for a challenge in the west valley...this is your trail.
