steep paved incline at the beginning/end, but the rest of the trail is a small dirt path in some very pretty redwoods and chaparral shrubs and plants!

It’s a good entrance to get to the other larger trails without needing to go where all the tourists enter. The entrance can be a little hard to find, but just look for the tiny signs.

Did this as a teenager with my parents. Very easy terrain but you are really there to behold the trees. Weather was great in late summer.
