Pretty views but with overgrown bushes & pretty flowers found spider & ticks as you get closer to slide ranch. Taller shrubbery near goats not a good combo. Walked on the road above. Although it is a short quick trail with beautiful views.

A short hike from the Muir Beach Overlook to the Slide Ranch along the beautiful oceanfront view. There were some muddy patches along the way and we were able to view ranch animals such as goats

Really beautiful and scenic coastal trail. The hooting of owls, flowers, and eucalyptus trees make for a great stroll.

Great short hike with beautiful vistas of the ocean and the headlands. Best to go during the warm part of the day due to the typical windy conditions.

Very easy trail, did it in under an hour...was verrrrry windy, cold around sunset...the best part was Slide ranch at the end, and being greeted by cheerful kid goats who stuck their heads through the fence yelling at me when I arrived! Ok, well I think they mistook me for one of the ranch girls who walked up in a group to feed them all shortly afterward, but still it was a fun and cute surprise. Beautiful scenery, and lots of deer too...mostly flat and now I know a good trail to bring my Mom when she visits, as she has a bad hip and is not great for hard hikes...

The view from anywhere on the trail and at the Muir Beach Overlook is amazing! The hike itself is pretty short. Up and back type trail. It was really nice that it wasn’t crowded. It would be kinda tight if there were a lot of people though.

This is the most beautiful little stroll I have taken in the area. (It is a bit hillier on the way back) From the parking lot, we went ahead and walked the Muir overlook and then came back to the parking lot. The start of the trail is to your right side when pulling in next to some picnic tables. From there you can take the trail and it constantly has views of the coast...at the end you will be greeted by some goats and sheep at the local farm. Make sure to take the trail down to the tide pools! This is where the magic is. I really hope you enjoy this hike as much as I did.

Great little hike. Pretty easy. Great views. Walking down into and past slide ranch is fun. The tide pools and beach area are great to play around in. Really cool wildlife. We got very excited to see seals, star fish, and pelicans! ( Hey! I'm from New York, I ain't never seen a friggin' pelican, OK)

Great hike. Some signage would help. If lost at Slide Ranch people there happy to give directions. Even though tide was not low still tide pools to see. 86f with no wind last night. Great sunset.

Excellent hike. With kids, be aware it might take longer than anticipated if you plan to go see the farm (animals to feed and garden to see!) and tide pools (rocks to jump on!).

Beautiful, mellow hike. The trail itself is a quick descent from the trailhead down to the tide pools just past Slide Ranch. You have the Pacific Ocean in view the whole time, and can stop to view and feed the animals at the ranch. Short hike, animals, tide pools, ocean? Surely a great time for kids of all ages!

Beautiful hike/trail for anyone to accomplish! Loved going to the tide pools at the end! Very windy, but worth it 100 percent! Also some hidden gems like the red swing project off the beaten path! So much fun!

Easy hike with good beach access at the end. Opportunity to see some farm animals at Slide Ranch. We saw one owl in the Cypress Grove but it was very well camouflaged so easy to miss.
