This is a somewhat difficult trail only Bc it is constantly uphill and some areas have little to no shade. In addition going back down can be a little tricky Bc some areas are very narrow and a lot of sliding can happen, bring good shoes and if your clumsy like me just watch your step Bc I slid a couple of times. The shaded area with water running through it is nice and what I liked most about the trail. It makes for a good workout.
I went when it was raining so there was not much people in the trails. The people were very nice everytime you pass by someone they often greet you. Most of the people wore their masks when they saw people coming but a very few didn't have masks at all. The trail has a very nice view of the city but beware that you're going up an incline trail most of the time so be ready to be tired at some times. While I was walking I did hear a couple of pebbles fall down so be advised
Great trail for a sunset hike. Parking was easy on residential streets. Consistent steep incline made for a good workout but nothing too crazy. It was a little crowded going up but we ran most of the way back down and didn’t pass too many people late on a Saturday.
Free parking along residential streets but make sure to turn your wheels to the curb if parked on a slope or you'll end up receiving a parking ticket. The hike is all uphill so expect to sweat even on an overcast day. Masks are worn but some ignore this simple rule on a narrow trail. The stream had a nice flow of water.
Good workout! A mix of lots of sun mixed with shady parts. The water was my favorite. Beautiful!
Beautiful views & I met some cool people. However, the path is narrow and on a Sunday afternoon quite crowded. I was able to get a good workout in as you are pretty much going up an incline the entire way. My biggest complaint here was the number of dog owners with their pups off-leash. I don't understand people not leashing their dogs on a crowded narrow path when the signs asking to do so are so blatent. You are being careless, all the off leash drama with peoples dogs getting in my dogs face was extremely stressful. Add the fact that we are all steps away from serious injury or worse... Yeah I wont be returning with my dog here ever again. Way too many people thinking they are an "exception" to the rule. Otherwise beautiful views of LA, however, I would not recommend attempting on a hot day as the path is in direct sun.
