A pleasant loop that explores trails away from the crowds found at Muir Woods and the summit hikes. This loop offers stunning vistas of the Pacific Ocean. Take the Matt Davis Trial to the Stage Coach Fire Rd. Return via Bootjack and Matt Davis Trail.

definitely go counterclockwise! mistakenly went clockwise and had a leisurely stroll opposed to strenuous hike. moderate at best (im guessing counterclockwise would be moderate as well).

Nice hike. I hiked the loop counterclockwise. The first half of the loop is uphill (steep/hard) and second half is downhill (easy). Trail goes past West Point Inn and the Mountain Theater. Approximately 3hrs hiking time, but I got caught in a heavy downpour, so total time would be a little less under better conditions.
