Be mindful that parking on the street in the neighborhood starting point has a two hour limit. Entrance into the trail is in between two households. This All Trails trail is two trails combined with a few roads so just keep your map out when going from Mount Sutro to the beginning of Twin Peaks. If you are lucky to get a gorgeous day at the top of Twin Peaks, the view is amazing. One of the best in the city. Super super windy at the top though.

HikingGreat!Muddy

It was a great city hike tonight, started at 5:15pm, really good smell of eucalyptus trees, the walk became more incline once over Clarendon, quite muddy to be honest, but not a problem if careful. It was so windy and foggy once on the peak, had to quickly come back down as I was afraid to be blown away by the strong wind. On the way was a bit iffy as it started to get dark after 7pm, but it was a fun hike overall. Would have loved the view had it be on a clear day!

Very foggy and windy up top so we came down faster through to the Castro. The views at the top are so good, so recommend this on a clearer day. Lots of goats at top doing grass trimming as of June 21. You can go around fence to access overlook - but fence is electric so don’t touch!

Great views. Lightly trafficked. Be prepared for mud after you cross Clarendon. Maybe bring poles if you are so inclined.

Just a quick walk from the magnificent city viewpoint up the nearby hill and back. It was windy and crowded, but we were all lucky to be there on such a clear beautiful day. This is a world-class view for sure!

Mt Sutro is beautiful and pleasant to walk through, while still providing a decent challenge with the elevation gain. Getting to twin peaks is also very nice, but you better hope it's not too foggy/windy when you get up there. Also, if you have hiking boots, highly recommended for the mud.

Great "triple summit" hike if the weather is good. The poison oak can be intimidating at times but lots of wildflowers, scenic lookouts, and rest stops.

Second half that takes to directly to the Sutro Tower got pretty muddy and slippery after the rain. The suggested trail was closed off for restoration. Take the mystery or fairy gates trail instead go get to twin peaks. Nice smell, nice greenery.

intense run with the incline through the forest but breaking through and getting the twin peaks view was amazing. a better run than hike.

Trail entrance is discreet. City parking allows only 2 hour - impossible to expore much. Beautiful forest. Nice vegetation. Foggy so can't see any view.

Not too difficult, well trafficked trails. Especially as you approach Twin Peaks. Great views!
