Mt. Rubidoux trail is more of a paved road, but makes a great place for a quick run, a beautiful hike with friends and family, or for taking your dog for a walk. Though it is not a long trail, the amazing views of Riverside make this paved trail a popular place. There is an American Flag and a Cross at the top. Bring sunscreen or a hat. Parking at the trailhead can be tricky to find, and most hikers use nearby parking areas.

One of my favorite local trails. It’s a quick and easy hike. It tends to get busy in the evening but if you don’t mind waking up before sunrise you will get amazing views of the sun rising. Dog friendly and they have bags at the beginning of the trail to pick up after them.

Really good trail for the kids, and my husband who doesn’t have a lot of hiking experience. They did it with ease.

Easy 4 mile roundtrip (if you take the long trail).

There are several ways up/down. Easier incline or slightly more challenging. Wide, paved road. Great for anyone. 360 view...from downtown Riverside to Rubidoux. Even further on clear days. Watch parking near trailhead on 9th...zoned parking & they will ticket. Also...watch your step as a lot of dog walkers refuse to pick up after their dogs.

2 trails intersect near the bottom and at the top. Clockwise going up is nearly twice as steep but faster. Counter clockwise trail is a bit easier. They have filtered water at the bottom intersection and a water fountain for adults, kids, and dogs. The trail is paved so good for strollers but please make sure the pavement is not too hot for your dog.

Great views. Went this morning and it was so nice. Went off the paved trail and climbed up and down the side of the mountain. Great work out. So pretty with all the green and blooming flowers.

This is a fantastic day trail. if you hike from Ryan Bonaminio Park, up the steep side trail (left trail as you face the mountain), and touch the base of the cross, you will have gained 534 feet of elevation in 1.25 miles (one way). If you're wondering what this translates into on a treadmill incline it's an average 8% incline. Enjoy!

This is a nice trail but there’s no shade and it’s packed with people from the new resolutions one to the “Can you tell I’m an expert because I’m wearing ball hugging spandex” personally i like my hikes to get away from people so this is a good hike to go with your family on a random day But not to have peace and quiet.
Not to mention my dumb dog was dying, she started to faint from the walk at 1.5 miles because of the sun, no worries she got water and I carried her down which was probably her macabre plan to begin with..

Super trafficked around 7:30ish but go earlier and it’s a must nicer walk. It’s less of a hike and more of tourist spot. Buts it’s a nice way to get away from the city and get your heart rate up.

Super easy with a rewarding view at the top. A beautiful little tower and huge cross on top. A nice area for sitting and enjoying the California sunshine.
