Heads up for beginners: Towards the end of the loop, right before you get back to that bridge you crossed at the beginning, the way down isn't on one of those wide regular paths, it's down a somewhat steep hill between bushes (a much less walked path). It's not that bad because it isn't super steep but it's not a nice even path, and at the very end it's like a sudden dip where you have to put your hand on the rocks for support... I wish there had been some warning about it so I would've been a bit more mentally prepared. Overall, amazing views and nice trail.

Interesting activity on the heavily populated trail today. Rescue of someone necessitated two choppers hovering. Beautiful views

Had a hard time finding parking. Ended up parking at the Greek Theatre and then walking up to Griffith observatory. The park ranger told me to take a longer route- don’t listen to them. Follow the trail on the app. Pretty home overall, wide roads but many people without masks.

I recommend parking in the free parking lots and walking up if you don’t mind it. I would also recommend going right when you get to the loop for a gentler ascension. A little steep coming down on the last part.

1 step above "hiking" to Griff Park Observatory. A little steeper, but not much. Much better LA and Valley views. Crowded, but WAY less crowded than up to Griff Observatory. Nice seating area at the top
