The trail is intense. Do not underestimate your water resources. Start early since it’s getting too hot by 10am. Hiking poles are strongly encouraged. If you are planning overnight backpacking, wilderness permit can be obtained at any nearby 7/11 store since ranger station may be closed. The parking lot still closed, so park along the road. It was ok for us for overnight stay. Enjoy, it is a gorgeous trail.

Amazing views. Started at 05:45 directly from Icehouse Canyon trailhead parking (no difficulty to park at this time). Main difficulty for me has been the heat (limited shade on the trail). Water refill possible at the spring of the campsite after icehouse saddle towards ontario peak and at Baldy notch.

Great Hike - I logged 30 miles in 14h35. Started hiking at 4:50 in the dark and finished in the dark at 7:45 pm. You better be in a great shape if you plan on accomplishing this 10 peaks challenge, it is really hard! Loved the view from Ontario and Cucamonga! Breathtaking. It is getting cold up there so plan to have extra layers. I used 5l during the day. until peak 7 I was above the clouds which were wonderful but completely in clouds when reaching Baldy. I'll definitely go back to do baldy early in the Morning.

Great hike, did it backpacking over 2 nights 2.5 days. Did a bit of the scenic route so it was more like 32 miles or something. Amazing adventure, first night camped at cucamonga second night on baldy. Met some great people made amazing memories and overall had one of the coolest experiences I’ve yet to live, 10/10 recommend. Did it early June and the weather was good, being like 10L of water if your doing this in one day though!

Bam! Now that's what I call a hike. This is all day for sure. Plan to be doing some night hiking. Also, my gps read 30 miles and 12686 feet of gain. Alltrails always changes the data when I upload for some reason. Take the ridge down from Bighorn to Cucamonga. That will cut off a few miles.
