NOTE: Parking lots are closed but open spaces/trails are open for local use due to COVID-19. Just a short distance down the coast from the city of San Francisco, Pacifica is where the concrete truly ends and gives way to green hills and dramatic coastal scenery. Mori Point is a great place enjoy a sunset, do a spot of whale watching or simply enjoy the waves of the Pacific Coast washing up onto the shores. Remember to check out the ridgeline trail too, where you can see all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge on a clear day. Also, when savoring the splendor of the coastal bluffs of Mori Point in Pacifica you might want to bear in mind that the views here were so nearly very different. Developers have considered many plans for this land - condominiums, commercial development, an intersection for a new freeway extension and even a proposal to create a "Coney Island of the West" on the wetlands below. In 2000, the fervent efforts of the Pacifica Land Trust, California Coastal Conservency and the Trust for Public Land resulted in the purchase of the land and it was turned over to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area for preservation and restoration. Alternatives: - Consider extending your hike North of Mori Point to Pacifica pier. - Trailspotting's Sweeney Ridge Guide connects Mori Point to the hills above Pacifica.

I was here on 5/21/2020 I had no problem with the parking. Easy hike, pretty view of the ocean, a lot of rolling hills, It make the view more spectacular after I get to the top of the hill. Some high inclines, on edge of the cliff and steep made it more fun. A small steam of fresh water rundown from Sweeney Ridge to the ocean, make it more special. You can find them all in this trail. I will come back.

Parking lot is tiny. The trail itself is easy and extremely beautiful. Easy hike with great payoff :)

I did not expect this trail to be so steep and in rough terrain. If you bring kids I’d reccommend only if they’re at a least over 6 yrs old. But overall I did enjoy it. It had very nice views to take pics. It’s a short hike (2 miles) but because we stopped so many times for pics it took us over hour. Definitely come in the morning to find parking. By the time we left around 10 parking was full and there’s only a limited amount of spaces.

By far the most adventurous trail! Amazing view from every angle. There are off trails with high inclines and some trails on edge of cliff. But overall great hike along the pacific.

Some parts of the trail are overgrown but nothing too terrible. We found a few ticks on our dog as well so keep an eye out for it. The views were amazing all along the coast and well worth it! No shade cover as an FYI so it can get warm on a sunny day.

Beautiful views! There are different trails you can take, some steep ones if you want more of a challenge.

Lot is open but has very few spaces. Plenty of parking on the other side of 1. Much easier to keep 6’ than in the major SF parks.

Nice trail with a few over grown and one washed out area. Can be steep at times. Dog and kid friendly, though I’d recommend it for older kids. My 5 & 6 year old had to overcome a few hard spots. Overall, worth the work.

Breathtaking views. Hike can be very steep at times, so be careful if you wear regular tennis shoes. I saw a snake, so beware of those too. Overall really nice place.

Beautiful views and wildflowers. They made my heart happy. Relatively easy trail that’s pretty trafficked in some parts, though room to maintain distance. There is a trail around where the creek is that leads uphill to a stunning view of the ocean. We took a a trail down to the beach.

One of the most beautiful coastal hikes I’ve done- only downside is this hike is crowded since it’s an easy one. Dogs on leash everywhere, many cliffs so don’t let them off leash! No shade, but so beautiful.

Very steep at times which keeps the hike interesting. Lots of ups and downs. Views of the ocean were great, even in a foggy day. Beautiful garden at the beginning of the hike. Went on a Sunday at 3:00 and there were LOTS of people.

Great light traffic trail with amazing views. I recommend going clockwise so that you finish the second half of the hike with the best views. However if you do decide to go clockwise, you’ll have a very steep hill at the beginning. The parking lot at the starting point is small, but there is plenty of shoulder parking along Bradford Road.

Stunning views up and down the coast. Some beach access. Short hike but definitely “moderate” because of steep scrambles on loose soil — not easy for the elderly or some disabled, although there is often an easier option at all trail splits. More of a “walk” than a “hike” but definitely a great coastal spot to be found this close to the city.

Loved it - flat in most areas, steep inclines every now and again to make you feel like you’re putting in some effort. Great views, great breeze, peaceful ocean sounds. Easy to stay away from fellow hikers (6 ft+). Small parking lot for this particular trailhead.
