This is an easy hike for all ages. Nothing too rigorous. The trails are mainly flat and a bit sandy. You cross a few shallow dry washes along the way to the McAllum Oasis. You can stretch the hike for another 2 hours if you head into Moon Country and hike up to the vista point and then up into the valley. During this last hike, a day after a heavy rain, the trail was still wet but with solid footing. Tons of wildflowers to see!
