An easy to moderate climb with well worn footpaths, gorgeous views of coast line, San Francisco and even a glimpse of GGB. Love the less trafficked upper trail with more exposed rocks and a wonderful view of the steep rock faces of the mountain.

I got there just before 9am and there were only two other vehicles there. I went alone and felt totally safe and absolutely loved it. It was uphill the whole time but it wasn’t crazy or too hard! Take water, for sure! And by the time I finished at 11, there were quite a few more vehicles and I was passing other people and could hear others on the trail. If you want more of a quiet solo hike, start early.

A great hike with stunning views. We parked the car on the street since the Park closes at 5pm. It can be a strenuous hike. Take plenty of water.

Amazing views!!!

Great hike. Very few people using the trail. I would not rate this as difficult. Nice uphill hike not too steep. Great views.

Nice hike. Loved it. The first half mile has this beautiful eucalyptus trees. Early morning fog + the fragrance of eucalyptus was refreshing. It’s a steady climb but I wouldn’t classify it as hard.

Trail was clear and very well marked. Not too steep. Incredible vistas of the pacific and the city of SF. Perfect morning or afternoon hike. Completed in 2:30.

Nice trail, pretty good workout but definitely not hard. Views are just okay hence the 3 star rating.

This trail is often foggy at the top. Check the weather (look out to the ocean for incoming fog) before starting!

Beautiful views, but I hiked this yesterday and had to turn around after 1.5 miles because of the overgrown poison oak, everywhere! The beginning of the hike is hard, but looked flat afterwards.

Great views as I took the trail down to gray whale cove, and witnessed some whales enjoying themselves.

It's a beautiful trail with a great view of the bay.

Beautiful day! Start with a gradual climb along some switch backs. Spring is still here as we saw thistles, daisies, hydrangeas, blackberries, red paintbrush-like flowers and more. Fragrances all around with the eucalyptus, bay trees, rosemary and the ocean. We had a semi-clear sunny day. The view was of Pacifica, Highway 1, San Francisco... even Alcatraz! Bring a wind breaker and the hike to summit wasn't too shabby. You'll be walking on textured rocks. The park itself has well kept bathrooms and visitor center. Do remember your $6USD if you are parking at the San Pedro County Park.

Best hike within a 30 min drive of San Francisco in my opinion. Wildflowers were in abundance, and even though it looked like we'd have a foggy view when we set off we were treated to blue skies for nearly the entire hike. Bring sunscreen as there's few trees on the upper half.

Took the approach from grey whale cove in May. Was a beautiful hike- and we did see whales, but there's lots of poison oak on the sides of the trail, so be careful.

It is a nice trail but no shade at all. You will see the ocean and some wild flowers depending on the time of the year. We also spotted some dolphins. This is a strenuous trail and not suitable for young children.

Fun hike, it was a Saturday and we only saw three other people the whole time. A well kept trail, and really a fun little trek. We saw a little herd of deer 15 feet from the trail at one point.
