off road driving
I went today to go off road ing and it was closed drove 1.5 hrs to be closed
love this trail. bike up it 2 or 3 times a week and hike up poop out to part of it. mystic also runs into it. very busy trail lately for hikers and mtbers. people do need to know that mountain bikers go down fast and hikers need to pay attention!
This is definitely a new favorite for me! I only hiked until my tracker said 5 miles but 10 miles round trip was plenty for me. This trail is clean and not very crowded on a Saturday morning. The mountain bikers were a little scary but everyone was friendly. The way this trail gets you to the top is very comfortable and the views are awesome. There are no restrooms and no water so be prepared. Loved everything about it!!
This is a pretty long trail if you take it to the ridge. You can mix it up with the Mystic Canyon or PoopOut trails to add some variety to the hikes in the area. I've only biked it, and yes you have to keep an eye out for the mountain bikers coming down. If you know the shuttle (they run mtn bikers up the road and they ride down the trail) is running that day then yes be very alert for them. Other times, i imagine the trail isn't as busy. Some nice views, scenery changes from a creek/canyon to hilltops and narrow trails. Always keep an eye for poison oak and although I didn't see any some wildlife.
I've hiked and gone mountain biking on this trail. Very enjoyable, nothing crazy, just some nice views. Perfect for a nice after work ride.
this trail is very very long took over three hrs to get to the top. early morning there are lots of mountain bikers coming down the trail at blazing speeds.
