Icy/slushy road, watch your step! Lake is dried up. It was fun to walk around the lakebed. Good views too.

When we went, the road to the Mirror Lake parking lot was closed so we had to do another 1 mile each way to get to the trail. It was still worth it though as there were great views of the side of Half Dome. The Lake is Dry but still a great spot to relax and take in the views. We saw a family of bears at the end of the trail so we did not venture out much further.

Absolutely stunning views of Half Dome from this trail. It’s family friendly and a beautiful walk. The lake was completely dried out but it was cool to walk on the lakebed sand.

The road was closed so we had to park in a small lot about 950 feet from the start or trail then walk on the bike trail to the start of it. It was a nice trail we headed up the dirt trail first since the lake is dried up this time of year. It was nice and cool by the big rocks about half way up the trail. Once at the lake we crossed to the paved trail to get a better look at half dome

A nice enough trail that I'm sure is gorgeous in winter and spring but is rather lackluster in summer.
