They say it is a moderate trail. It’s not. It’s hard but rewarding.

Most of the hike is up a 4x4 road, but it opens up to incredible views of Mammoth Mtn and the Minarets!

Breathtaking, but DIFFICULT! if you have a 4x4 drive the first 2.5 miles. It makes all the difference.

This trail led to some breathtaking views! It was not a very clear day for us but such an impressive end to our day!! We are excited to return here for a spectacular wuneet. On our way out we saw some bear cubs learning to climb trees!!

Highly recommend this trip. End of the day with a fun group we decided to give it try. Two jeeps and a Baja VW. Nothing difficult and super worth the effort. Incredible views at the end of the Dead End Trail. One of our favorite so far!!!! Go for it!!!! So cool!!!!!

Somewhat easy trail with a couple of semi-technical areas. Only saw two other groups. Great views and wildflowers.

A dull hike with spectacular vistas on both side of the ridge...the trail is above tree line and in the sun.

Deadman's Pass is a really fun jump off point to the San Juan trail up to the Two Teats & San Juan Mountain, putting you up over 10.000ft. Great for a challenging trail run or Mnt bike run. Awesome off trail options either dropping off trail East towards June Lake & rt 395 or West towards the PCT & the Minarets. It's actually in Mammoth Lakes CA not Oakhurst CA, enjoy
