A short walking trail, this is most often used by locals, and can offer a nice oasis in the surrounding residential area. A great spot for birds and wildflowers. Not suitable for strollers or bikes.
Trailhead at end of Los Robles Dr. lots of parking in the residential neighborhood
Nice, quick, family-friendly hike. Mostly canyon hiking - not a lot of views. Beware young children - some sections need a scramble that can be hard for them to navigate on their own. Two-way segment at the start connects into a pandemic friendly one-way loop. Ran into several families on a Saturday morning. Parking at the trailhead is a bit cramped. Enjoy!
Easy, light traffic, well marked, low intensity trail. There's some up and down when ascending / descending to the main trailhead from the parking area and on each side of the creek. Trailhead starts with moderate switchbacks, and there are a couple places with slick rocks. Nice view of the SF Bay from a distance within the first half mile. COVID-19 pandemic protocols are in place, so traffic is one way on the trail and a mask is required.
Did two miles as the scripted trail is different than AllTrails has in their system. This is not an easy trail. Has some steep inclines/declines that can be a bit rough at times. Anyone with challenges should avoid the unpaved trail, which is most of that area.
barely saw anyone on the trail midweek which was incredible. good tree cover throughout. i’m glad i chose to record my hike because the path is a lil confusing at times but the alltrails path is top notch. you have to cross the creek at one point near the start of the hike (then again at the end) which can be tricky to find but again, trust the app! this is good for solo or pairs of hikers but not good for kids or anyone with trouble balancing.
A little confusing to get to but a pretty nice trail once you’re there
