A short walking trail, this is most often used by locals, and can offer a nice oasis in the surrounding residential area. A great spot for birds and wildflowers. Not suitable for strollers or bikes.

Okay for kids over 8 y/o. There are some parts to it where it’s steep on one side, so caution for kids & dogs. Also, two words: poison oak. It’s a good hike, part shaded area & sunny.

It has a very small part where you can see the bay, so I don’t consider it a scenic hike. Basically you are hiking up and down in the canyon.

This is a moderate hike. This is steep!

It was a perfect morning hike with my husband and two small children. Most dogs are not kept on leashes (fine by us!) but Incase that’s an issue for others.

Great little trail I found in a book years ago and did several times. It was almost on my way home from work...

Short loop hidden in Burlingame residential neighborhood. Dog friendly, but also a breeding ground for ticks. Wear long pants! Easiest to access off Arguello Drive, where there is ample parking and well marked trail head.

Beautiful and great for reluctant hikers of the seven-year-old variety. Giant boulders for climbing and a creek for exploring.
