First time doing this hike and it was amazing. Lots of little creeks and mini waterfalls to cross which was pretty cool. Nice waterfall at the end. Definitely recommend this hike, one of my favorite.

No access. The CA state park and trails are open, but LA County closed the access road and marked all surrounding areas as tow away zones for this week, basically making the trail inaccessible to kids. Glad neighborhood parks and schools are still closed, too. Clearly the people making these decisions haven’t been locked in their houses with young kids for the last three months. Happy 4th.

NO Parking! You need to park on Loma Alta street and hike up Chaney road to the trail heads for this weekend only. 4.2 miles to get to the waterfall and back. Be alert of rattlesnakes.

1st time there, made mistake of parking at top & ended up walking down cuz we weren’t sure where the trail starts. Gotta turn left at the end to get down. Free parking, no reservation needed. As for the trail, it’s clean and dog friendly, lots of shades for sun/rain. Went on Sunday around 10:30. A lot of families with kids, but not too crowded to the point it becomes annoying. It was an easy, short hike, good for beginners hence the kids and most ppl wear masks. The Waterfall wasn’t as big at the time but still nice. Be ware of loose slippery rock by the streams. I slipped and both of my feet were swimming in my shoes.

Really nice, short trail. Definitely go to the bottom parking lot. It's where the street ends. So follow it down. Many people park at the top, off the side of the road, but it's a narrow street and that can be dangerous. A lot of people said you need a permit to park in the lot, but I was fine without one. Also recommend going early. We headed out by 9 and the parking was full.

HikingGreat!

The place is packed on weekends, parking is limited, with throngs of people hovering for parking spaces and not enough folks wearing masks on the trails. Not going back for a long time (unless maybe a weekday).

Started at the Chaney trail, it was all uphill until you got to the sign for the Millard campground which then goes downhill to the campground. The hike is then to your right after the campground and is rocky and a slight gradual climb to the falls. The waterfall was amazing, there was so much water throughout the entire hike and a couple of creek crossings but not bad.

Trail would be nicer if it were longer. There's a lot of kids during the weekends and the waterfall is usually crowded with people (also pretty small). Easy hike for families and has abundant shade but not really much of a hike

Trail is nice and some areas are shaded. I went the wrong way and ended up at a stream because the signs are easy to miss. Took my dogs and they got nice and dirty but there are a lot of fox tails ( which can be dangerous for dogs if they get in their eyes or nose or body) I had to come home and cut all the fox tails and thorns out of their hair. Went on a Friday evening, not crowded and locals I ran into were friendly. No reservation needed

Short Shady trail. Lots of little kids. Nice waterfall. I had to do a little running around at the top of the trail to make it an even 3 miles.

Lovely, shady...very popular. Most hikers Covid conscious. Best to start by 7am to avoid the 9am rush..

It was a nice and easy hike, very dog friendly. The waterfall at the end is pretty but very crowded. It’s a small waterfall. I wish people would think about letting others enjoy it too and not take up the whole thing for hours.

First time hiking! Very fun and challenging. From the car to the water fall was over 1500ft elevation. (I had to park along the hillside. The parking lot and surrounding areas were completely full.) will definitely do this again!!!
