For being dab snap in the middle of the city, this wound up being a great walk, jog, workout. Lots of ducks and birds to listen to. The paths are wide and can easily be accessed anywhere. Bathrooms are sprinkled about. Shade, water fountains, benches, everything you need for a fun trail.

I grew up in Fountain Valley, so I am very familiar with Mile Square Park. I may be biased but I can assure you this park is so beautiful. Aside from a golf course in the middle of the park, there's also a lake with paddle boats for fun. I went here every year to take pictures for prom with such a pretty back drop of nature. The entire park is huge and and can be used to your full advantage for outdoor parties and bbqing, picnics, playgrounds, or just the chill. There's also a catering building for whatever purposes you need to rent out for parties and stuff. And of course, great for a walk/jog/run hence the "mile square" !!
