Great views of Ridgecrest and the Searles Valley. The first 1-2 miles are brutal, with steep, rocky climbs and descents (~45% grade). The remaining 1-2 miles are somewhat up-and-down, but are more manageable by choosing one of the many OHV trails to minimize altitude change (or maximize, if you're looking for a workout) - there isn't really one defined trail at this point. There are some interesting vertical mining sites along the way, and the mountain peak at the end offers a sprawling view of the Searles Valley that makes the trip worth it.

Beautiful scenery, trail is a little rough/rocky and steep at times. Definitely worth a trip to check out. there are a couple different start points, i suggest the one furthest south and climb up the mountain first then take the lower half of the loop back. tons of forks in the trail so you dont have to do the whole thing if you dont feel up to it.
