Always a perfect hike! A few courteous folks on bikes occasionally, but otherwise not many people out there. Always cool to see the Bald Eagle Sanctuary that’s halfway through the loop. Good trail maintenance here too!

it was okay. There were a lot of little trails as well and no trail markers so it was hard to tell if I was on the correct path. I didn't end up doing the whole hike because of this. I'm not familiar with the area and didn't want to get lost.

Good for a quick workout, a couple of steep inclines that were challenging, but rewarding. Up close view of the water halfway through. I ended up trail running most of second half to break a bigger sweat. Overall, nice find out here where hikes are typically mostly flat.

Nice trail for a shorter hike/run! The trail was a bit confusing and I had to keep the app open for most of it.

I really enjoyed this trail. It was challenging with lots of ups and downs including a very steep grade at the halfway point. There are many other trails near by as well if you’re interested in exploring. Pretty views and nice breeze. Will definitely be back

Overall pretty easy and nice trail! It was mostly shaded, and I saw no bugs or snakes, only a couple of lizards. The only thing was that sometimes the trail hits a fork in the road, and even with a map it gets a little confusing! Ended up taking the wrong path a couple times and found ourselves in a residential area! Despite that, it was a nice trail, and if you venture off a little, there is access to the American River! There is some horse droppings every now and then, but it isn’t too bad. Great trail!

Had so much fun! Very hilly and rocky. Be very careful on the big hill going up or down bc my friend fell down the hill. It’s very steep and slippery. There’s a little spot halfway by the water where you can eat lunch or whatever. I’d say it’s moderate depending whether or not you take a detour to avoid the hills.

The trail had a lot of dead weeds next to it but was still beautiful. There was still a lot of trees and other plants near the trail. I went with my sister and friends. While we were hiking, there was a huge steep hill before we could reach the lake. My cousin tumbled down the hill. I recommend going down with ski poles or something that you can hold on so you don’t tumble down. We stopped at the lake and ate lunch. The water was felt very good and there was nobody there. This is a definite moderate trail.
