The scenic Meccacopia Trail is a popular OHV route separating the Mecca Hills and Orocopia Mountain Wilderness areas. The central portion of the Meccacopia Trail, route MC154, is closed to motorized vehicle use from June 1 through September 30 to protect wildlife access to critical water sources. Motorized vehicle travel is limited to open routes and no cross-country travel is allowed. Open route MC154 is rated More Difficult requiring more than novice skills, and may challenge the average user with some obstacles, but nothing extreme. With easy access to Interstate 10, visitors can access the Bradshaw Trail, hike to the Grotto caves, and connect to Box Canyon Road, which is a good place for staging.

Pretty interesting trail with some very nice views of the Salton Sea and lots of spurs to take and explore the area. It's a very simple trail, I think it is more a green trail than the blue moderate that it says however it does get a little narrow in some places. It's mostly a bunch of ups and downs along with bumps and moguls. Some cool camping places in the canyons too where you can stay the night while hiking during the day or playing with the off road toys. Check out my video for a full trail video!

Did this trail today with a stock 2017 wrangler unlimited. Had no trouble at all! We hit it from Mecca and went to I 10. It was a great trail to break the new Jeep in.
