Like many hikes in the East Bay after the month of May, it is dry, yellow and potentially warm. This is a heavily trafficked trail. From families with young children to mountain bike and people with dogs. There are a few benches to sit on along the way. There are several options to take other routes. Personally, I would not make the drive to hike here, but if you are local it is a reasonably easy hike.

Very nice. The parking that the directions lead you to is currently closed, but there is a parking lot .4 miles before the start of the trail where the road is closed off. Very easy to park and walk down the road to the lake, where the trail starts.

Lake Anza Rd & lower parking lots are closed (COVID), but you can walk down from the carousel lot. Between that and an extra out&back up seaview, added an extra mile or so. Great trail, wide, very gentle incline. Decent shade for about 2/3 of the route. Dog friendly. highly recommend

Nice shaded loop trail. Some moderate ups and downs, but easy for all ages. Picturesque Lakeview, eucalyptus forest, oaks, and a few redwoods.

Good intro to trail running. If you park at inspiration trail parking lot it is down hill at the beginning then uphill to your car, whichever way you go. If you park at the loan oak parking lot it is uphill first, then down hill to your car

Solid hike. V muddy so come prepared with shoes you don’t mind destroying. Be sure to go counter clockwise. Good for dogs
