nice balanced walk of uphills and downhills. Took my 12 yr old son and i about 40 mins to complete rountrip at a moderate to slow pace. Great choice for a morning walk b4 it gets too hot. Definitely recommend it. We also saw a small snake so be alert. Gravel can be a bit slippery in a few sections.

My husband and I were able to do this trail with our five year old. There just happened to be lots of caterpillars, so it was neat to stop and enjoy the little creatures. The wildflowers were in full bloom and made the scenery and view enjoyable. Definitely a great little work out. We were able to finish it up and back in about 40 minutes. Was neat to see the portions of burn area that now has lots of greenery and flowers growing.

The trail entrance is right across the street from the baseball field parking lot.. there is a sign at the foot of the steps, easy to find. Walked this with my 15 yr old and was a very nice quick work out. Very clean. When the trail says stairs, it literally means a million stairs lol.. if you have bad knees, you may want to avoid. You can make this trail as easy or hard as you want, depending on how quickly you go. Many people on the trail (Saturday noon), a few athletes were training up and down the steps on the back side. A few families with small kids turned and headed back once they got to the crest of the trail. The trail ends on a street, after the decline, therefore making you turn back and retracing your steps to finish where you started. I’m not familiar with the area, so was unsure if I could make it into a loop.. that’s for next time.

Fun, short little hike! Recommend in the morning to avoid the heat! Safe area. Trail head is across the street from the parking lot.

Amazing workout! Since it's so short, it is possible to do it 3 or 4 times in an hour.

This place is a great leg workout. It has a nice view of the lake and a great little hike for kids. My little ones (5 and 4) love going here.
