RunningGreat!

This is a nice place to relax and take it easy or take a daily jog with your dog. Kid friendly as there is a park play area and there is also a newly renovated pond where there are ducks and geese. There is also a beautiful rose garden and an area to play tennis.

High traffic area. About half the people were not wearing masks. Super muddy.

Highly recommend this trail. 10/10. It’s almost completely shaded and has amazing pond views. There’s a lot of nice people walking their dogs and playing with their kids on the trail and on the field. There’s also a lot of shaded benches and areas to have a cute picnic. Seemed very secure as Sac PD is constantly patrolling this area. The perimeter of this trail is also a mile which is perfect!

I would recommend this trail for anyone looking to run under primarily shaded track. In the middle of midtown and in the same park as the rose garden. Beautiful and Easy.

Great park. A very gorgeous rose garden inside the park. There's a small pond with lots of water birds.

Great spot. We like to ride bikes from park to park in a loop beginning at Curtis Park and ending at Southside.

Good place for a quick hike. In fact, if you work in the Downtown Sacramento area, this is a great place to walk for one’s lunch break.

First to Review

I live down the street and I love this park. The running track is easy on my shin splints. The rose garden is beautiful and on the weekends there are often craft shows or garden shows at the show hall. There is a basketball and tennis court, a play ground, and a swimming pool. Lots of trees and I’ve seen that a fairy lives in one of them. (Great for kids) I wouldn’t recommend riding your bike here, unless your a kid. On the weekends there are yoga people and prayer circles and parties and drumming circles. It’s just amazing. In the evenings there are a lot of fitness camps and people doing boot camps. There are tennis courts and a beautiful revamped duck pond. (Don’t feed them bread says the signs) Lots of people like to bring their dogs and there is a gated dog park a few blocks away over the levee. Lots of benches and picnic tables! Parking can be a pain in the butt, but there are some spaces, carpool if you can. There is also a library!
