Parking is OPEN! It was a great hike! 3 gorgeous waterfalls. Middle Falls is the prettiest. And if you go to upper falls, before you reach the railing at the edge of the falls, there is a place you can hike down to the base of it. It looks a little sketch when looking down on it from the main trail, but i promise it is not hard at all, and pretty safe. Its not really worth hiking to upper falls if you dont hike to the base of the falls. Its a lot uglier from the top since you really can't see the full falls in all its glory. Also, at Middle Falls, get ready. People will be swimming everywhere and jumping off of cliffs hundreds of feet tall. Its pretty exciting to watch. Overall, I would recommend, driving to lower falls and viewing from the lookout. Then drive to middle falls to view, hike down then back up, then hike to upper falls. That's your best bet.

Very easy, relatively flat trail with breathtaking waterfalls. Not just one, but three. You can do some rock jumps, but risky.

You will not regret these waterfalls. Absolutely breath taking. Very very easy trails to each fall. You will have to do some rock climbing to get to the water at both lower and middle fall. Rocks at middle falls are a little slippery so be careful! ENJOY! :)

Nice trail hiking along the river to the falls. It says wheelchair friendly, come to find out only from the parking lot to upper falls. Also only from lower falls parking lot to Fowler campground.

Middle falls is the prettiest one, the views don’t disappoint! I enjoyed the trail but it gets a bit too crowded especially around the middle and lower falls. Other than that it is worth checking out.

Feb 2020, hiked in from the locked gate at Hwy 89, down the road about 1.4 miles to Lower Falls. Then hiked to Middle and Upper, then back up the campground road. Total 6 miles. No snow on road, some snow/ice on trail. Worth it! Gorgeous day.

Trails are all covered with snow. Normally you can drive close to Middle Fall and park, but since the road is closed, we walked for about 2miles to get to the Middle fall. Follow other’s footprints so you won’t get lost. Highly recommend to hike with snow shoes, but it’s also doable with snow boots and snow pants (just gonna get wet at some point). Overall, great hike in the winter! Can see waterfalls and the river.

Pretty easy trail. And the waterfall is really pretty. Wasn’t crowded but then again it is November. Weather was just right. Could probably do this hike solo as it looked really safe, during the right time of day of course.

Neat little trail. I started at upper falls and went to lower and back. Most of climbing is between middle and upper falls. The cool thing is for anyone who can’t hike much you can drive and park within a few hundred feet of lower, middle and upper falls. Beautiful hike.

This trail was such a wonderful surprise. We took it from Lower Falls all the way to Upper Falls and back again. Aside from the gorgeous waterfalls, the trail is well maintained and offers tremendous beauty wherever you are on it. It pretty much follows the McCloud River. We really liked that we were able to take our dog; so many trails don’t allow dogs. Really wonderful hike!

nice trail to beautiful waterfalls..

Great trail for dogs on leash - generally wide. First section is a paved trail through campgrounds along river. Lower falls offers areas to dip your toes in the water; upper falls area has lots of fishing spots or a snack stop. Trail was very busy during Sunday of Labor Day weekend.

Easy trail with plenty of shade. We only made it to the middle falls as we couldn’t find the trail that continued to the upper falls. We couldn’t get in the water at the middle falls because the yellow jackets were everywhere.

Loved this hike from beginning to end. Perfect for the family. Circa 6 KM, 3,7 Miles from lower falls to higher falls and back. Safe and easy path with one steep section near the higher falls without railing, where you may need to assist small kids.

Started out at lower falls and Hiked to upper falls. The trail is paved between lower falls and the camp grounds, and is super easy. Between the camp grounds and middle falls, the trail is dirt but still pretty flat, I considered it an “easy” trail. The dirt trail has more incline (about 5%-6%). Is consider this a little more on the “moderate” level, because it got my heart rate up a bit. The middle fall is the most beautiful of the three, but I love upper falls the most due to not many people are around it so it’s more peaceful/quiet.

My sister and my 2 nephews did this trail by car where we parked at each spot to see the waterfalls. The views were amazing! The middle waterfall was the most beautiful of them all but it sure was a trek down and back up to the parking lot! Make sure to bring water and if eating a lunch it makes it worth while to sit and admire the view. Due to taking photos I think it took us about 1hr and 30min from parking lot to waterfall and back. Driving did save us some time but due to having a small kid didn’t want to push it on having them walk the whole trail.

Easy trail, water fall is beautiful. Can get real close and even get in the water close enough to falls!
