The watershed remains open to the public, with some restrictions, for recreational use daily from sunrise to sunset. The recent county health order prohibits vehicles and parking at the watershed, with the exception of people with disabilities who have the required disability placards or license plates for their vehicles. Parking for those with disabilities is available at our Sky Oaks parking lot. While the watershed remains open, visitors must comply with social distancing requirements of at least 6 feet. All volunteer programs that take place on the watershed have been canceled until further notice. As of August 2019, Canopy View Trail is closed from 8/5/19 to 10/15/19 due to Coho Salmon Restoration Project. There is a detour on trail.

I would recommend this trail to anyone looking for waterfalls, redwood trees and beautiful canopies!

Beautiful trail with a perfect mix of woods and view, start by going down into Muir Woods and finish with amazing panoramic views!

Good solid hike.

Canopy View Trail closed from 8/5/19 to 10/15/19 due to Coho Salmon Restoration Project. Detour took me down to Muir Woods Park > Hillside Trail > Bootjack > Matt Davis. Detour route ended up being around 7 miles anyway and the Bootjack and Matt Davis portions are phenomenal. So, great hike aside from the crowds at Muir Woods. Also, crack pipe spotted on Bootjack Trail if you can believe it. See pics.

Hike was amazing! Came across being able to picnic on a rock in front of a mini waterfall from the river that’s near. Aside from all the stairs up hill it was all worth it!

It was a lovely hike, the streams and creeks are flowing. The trail is well marked and maintained and I am happy to have made the trip.

great forest trail down into Muir woods. pay attention to trail markings and gps. We got side tracked a couple miles but worth the detour! pretty moderate especially bc of the length. took about 4hrs with 9ppl @ ~23min/mi.

Multiple terrains and ecosystems on this big loop that goes down into Muir Woods and then back up on the high side of Panorama road. We hiked from the parking lot at Mountain Home, clockwise, It was a terrific morning! We spent some time walking around Muir Woods boardwalk a bit then continued back up Bootjack trail. Lots of trees and waterfalls. Nice!

Beautiful hike, but mislead by AllTrails... this hike is NOT dog friendly. We had to turn around and abort because it was very clear that dogs were not welcome.

This is a great hike after some heavy rains. All the streams on Matt Davis are flowing and the hike down to Muir Woods is extremely lush.
