The trail along the creek has been permanently closed by the US Army Corps of Engineers (landowner) due to erosion and degradation of wetland habitats.

This track is inaccurate. The section along the creek has been closed permanently, so you must walk the dirt road upslope. Take a hat—little shade.

Great trail for running or walking. We had a nice walk. Their is some trail maintenance going on so there are a few off shoots that are t accessible. There is a little shade, but not much. Parking at the trail head - gravel lot and picnic tables a few spots in the trail.

The first 1-1.5 miles is very crowded but once you get off the main trail the hike is peaceful and pretty easy. In total it takes 330 to 4 hours, we missed the peak but still had great views of the lake. Keep your eyes open for mountain bikers the top section has a 4-5 mile track which bikers use too.

I recommend this trail to anyone looking for an easy wide mountain biking trail or a nice easy hike, it is awesome for younger kids.

Beautiful at sunset. Very easy hike, pretty much flat. Saw several coyotes!

A nice easy hike all through the entire valley. Pretty easy, but it feels longer than you’d think. Especially if you are carrying 30 pounds on your back

Went several times in late April as snow melted early. Relaxing, with wide open Mountain views. On 4/29, veered off main loop and took uphill trail towards Northstar. Saw baby bear on back side near marsh and got the eerie feeling Momma bear is watching me. Recommend staying on main loop with wide open terrain.

Perfect for a shorter hike. Beautiful views of Creek land, birds, woods. Wish that more people collected their dog droppings.

Nice walk, not much elevation change but varied topography. Enjoyable

Great hike with the kids as it is flat the whole time. The colors mid October were stunning and it was not too hot. Highly recommend it!

Easy walk. I won't rate this as moderate. Feels a lot shorter than 4 miles. Clearly marked trails, fun but you can hear/see the traffic on 267, thought it was a little more nature walk but still good.

Super easy, flat trail. Brought my dog as there is lots of water for her to play.

This trail was perfect for my wife's first time on a mountain bike, easy ride with only 1 spot that was challenging for her.... A great trail to walk or run.

Good for running.. not a hike at all... Anyone can do this trail. 3/4 of this train is in the sun. Was not worth driving out to in my opinion.

I love this trail for running. Nice distance, reasonably flat for the area, running on dirt, open and there's some cool wildlife to check out.

Good for kids and small dogs. Not much to see in late August. Good for a running trail.

Nice cruiser trail through meadows, grasslands and low forest. Fine for kids and dogs. Perfect in early June when wildflowers are in bloom, but would be hot and dusty by Aug.

Such a pretty trail! Wildflowers were blooming but this trail was very easy. I would rate it as a “easy” hike more than a moderate one. The trail was family friendly but no fly fishing allowed, which was a bummer.

Nice flat hike surrounded by beautiful scenery and mountains. There’s not much shade, so wear a hat and sunscreen.

Nice loop trail! Plus, we saw a blonde bear by the houses midway through the hike! It looked like it just woke up from a long winter nap!
