Nice cruiser trail through meadows, grasslands and low forest. Fine for kids and dogs. Perfect in early June when wildflowers are in bloom, but would be hot and dusty by Aug.

Such a pretty trail! Wildflowers were blooming but this trail was very easy. I would rate it as a “easy” hike more than a moderate one. The trail was family friendly but no fly fishing allowed, which was a bummer.

Nice flat hike surrounded by beautiful scenery and mountains. There’s not much shade, so wear a hat and sunscreen.

Fun, family friendly trail! Dogs love it too :)

Nice loop trail! Plus, we saw a blonde bear by the houses midway through the hike! It looked like it just woke up from a long winter nap!

Was out there this week pack the sun screen and water/mudboots totally manageable and enjoyable as long as your prepared! Great views of the surrounding mountains as our snowpack begins to melt:)

Beautiful trail, alpine meadow, wet marsh, wooded sections. Not technical. Today was quite icy in the woods & muddy elsewhere. Absolutely hikeable.

More of a nature walk or easy trail run. Not much of a hike. Pretty views though. It was a bit muddy yesterday as well.

Great flat, easy trail in and out of the trees. I recommend heading in early as there is not much parking.

Love this hike..for me it’s a nice work out as far as the hikes I’ve done here in Tahoe this one is easy..

Nice easy loop. Good way to get acquainted with Martis Valley.

Nice hike through meadows and forests. The trail has tables or benches every mile or so. Very little elevation and a beautiful area convenient to travelers and locals alike.

VERY SUN EXPOSED, know this before doing it in the heat. An easy trail for all skill levels, dog friendly, and some spots for them to dunk in.

Great scenery and several great spots to wade into the water. I recommend starting with the trail parallel to the highway as the other half is more enjoyable.

This trail was delightful. It's almost all flat amd open, and the trail walks by a creek for most of it. There's a lot of fields and bridges, so sunscreen is a must. Also, walking in the evening makes it much more enjoyable (other than the bugs of course, so bring bug spray). I was very happy.

Very pretty. Lots of people and dogs.

A couple easy hills and one fourth shade so bring sun screen. Bridges cover the few water crossings that exist during Jun and July but I was told are mostly gone by the end of summer.

Great trail! Especially with all the water this year. Technical and fun. A few too many people. Only tip would be to go earlier in the day. We got there at 9 and by the time we were done /+ hours later we were passing lots of people. Good family trail if you have kids over 10 who are physically active.

This is not a hike, it's a stroll through a flat meadow. Allegedly there are birds earlier in the season, but we saw no wildlife other than crickets and a couple bees. The trail also no longer runs near the creek and is mostly closed for restoration, so only about .8 miles of this trail is available. There's another loop which crosses this loop you can take, but it is even more boring, running by a golf course and a rather large development.

Great and easy trail although muddy in certain areas, but you can expect that in late November...will be back!

Great trail for running or walking - two Bald Eagles at the top of Pines between Pappies Bridge & the Golf Course today. Something you don't see everyday.
