Great hike for kids. It gets a little steep on the second half of the way up but we took a 4-year-old and he did fine. Fun to watch horses and cows. Mostly shaded. Spectacular view at the top.

Very nice trail near a community -almost shaded, evening time is the best to avoid whatever little sun it may get. Decent workout even though short. Quick one hour in and out.

We went a little beyond the end of the out-n-back trail so we could take pictures from the rocks and the top of the hill. This is a great hike that will definitely get you huffing and puffing with the inclines. Very good hike!

Nice trail, lots of tree cover. Has some steep parts once past the EBMUD fence that could be slippery when wet.

Excellent trail that is very near my home so I hike it a lot. The first mile is city owned with a wide path that will accommodate strollers. You have the option to a path near the creek which gives you 85% shade all year. A great hike in the summer. Stay safe.

was looking for a quick hike in Dublin and found this one on All Trails. Very pleasant and lots of shad after the first 1/4 mile or so. Path can be pretty narrow so keep an eye out for tripping hazards (roots, stones). Will go back again to hike further (Donlon Loop)

It's not a lot of elevation gain, but there are plenty of little ups and downs so it's a good cardio workout. Once you get to the top, there are around 8 more miles of connected trail so you can extend the hike if you want.

Very good little cardio work out. We hiked this last week it was pretty dry on the trail with maybe a spot or two of mud! It’s pretty neat and has plenty of shade! Definitely go all the way the view was pretty! Would do again! And side note there were a couple of cute cows along the way!!

Martin canyon creek trail is narrow and muddy. So I decided not to do the loop and instead exit via Calaveras Ridge Trail. It was a nice hike overall. Saw deers and lots of cows grazing. Pretty shaded in most parts. Had to cross private properties twice but amazing views up top and worth it.

Loved it! Lots of shade, very few people today. Some parts are just very narrow and slippery, only one person can go. We were with our 2 and 4 year old...quite the adventure :-)
