I came down to Atascadero to do this hike because it’s close to home and I can get some good elevation in. Even though it’s a short hike it’s fun and there’s lots of different ways to go. I ended up doing the bottom to the top twice and the blue oak trail twice.

Hiking

This is the third time I’ve come down to Stadium Park to do this trail in the past couple months. I came down here the first time after all the hoopla with the monolith. Today since I’ve already done this trail twice I decided to do something different and start with the blue Oak Trail and work my way around to the model if via the south end of the loop. Then I decided to keep going down the ridge to see where it took me and it took me into someone’s private property. I turn left up the ridge and found my way to the microwave relay towers and the water tank. Then found my way back up the hill to re-join the loop.

This was an awesome trail with different forks in the trail you can take. Some of it was VERY steep, up and down, but worth it to see the view and the monolith at the top! Perfect weather

WalkingGreat!

Not exactly easy due to incline but a beautiful view. Narrow path for kids on the hillside

Didn’t love the trail and the monolith isn’t anything exceptional. It was quite dry and slippery today, not sure if that’s the norm. Definitely won’t do this hike again.

Went back to A town to see if the monolith was still there. It was. Did the Blur Oak Trail whole I was at it.

HikingGreat!

Came to see the Monolith, unfortunately it was gone. Trail was fairly easy. There are different trail paths you can take to the top all offering different steepness.

It’s a moderately steep incline and I’d say more worth it for the sunrise or sunset. Short and sweet with a great view of downtown Atascadero.

Very nice with use as advertised. I might call it easy+ because there’s about 1/3 of a mile steep uphill pull.

HikingOver grownRocky

First time on this trail and my only complaint is that the trails are a little overgrown. The main issue with the overgrowth is a lot of yellow star-thisle. Otherwise it's a very nice place, good options with different difficulty trails.
