This was an awesome, quick trail! If you don’t want a steep climb, start the trail away from the beach. It’s a wonderful place to just hang out by the beach or listen to the lagoon and bird watch.

Always fun to run in the headlands. Not too much traffic on the trail and it was well maintained.

Pretty epic! We did this with our 15lb dog and she loved it.

5 stars for the birds, so many kinds! And 4 stars for part of the trail so close with drive way, I don’t like to breathe cars;)

Easy family hike around the rodeo lagoon - half of it next to the parking lot / road but the rest is beautiful and rodeo is a great beach to spend the day and relax. Some nice little coves to the left to explore too

Short trail, good for kids, our kids enjoyed picking fennel leaves and sour grass, and they loved gallivanting on the beach.

At least half of this hike was on pavement.

Half the trail is along the road which makes it not very scenic to walk through. It's ok for a quick stroll.

There is parking at the visiting center. The trail starts next to the bathrooms. Trail is easy to find and there are good views of the lagoon and beach.

Recently did this trail. It was very easy and pretty. We did it around sunset so the view was unforgettable. I'm not sure if it's always (or it was because of the raining lately) muddy near the end. The end for us was the side of the loop away from the road.

Nice and short. Would be ideal on a sunny day.

I work at the Marin Headlands and do this trail everyday before work. It's a delightful way to start the day. I usually cross the sand to the waterline and walk the surf line to the north end of the beach. There are stairs there to get you back up to the trail and adds about a quarter mile to the loop.
