Hiked end of May 2019. I’m so impressed by other reviewers here and their hiking gumption. This hike was beautiful but intensely overgrown with poison oak and ticks. We were pulling them out of our pockets and picking them off every 30 minutes even with deet treated gear. We were so glad we had technu too. At points it was up to our faces for the first few miles after the horse bridge. There were several stream crossings, several that required wading. Maybe the oak, ticks, and water levels have subsided since then. Worth it? I guess... it was a mental challenge that made us really appreciate clear trails no matter how challenging, and mother natures stunning beauty and thorns.
