Not shady. Very rocky. Not too many other people on a Thursday afternoon. Not great views. Very complicated map setup with lots of branching trail options. DIY trail. Not as good as Quicksilver.

Did multiple loops around the trail mountain since there was no parking left at Bear Creek up the street. Lots of people through out the hike, some wearing masks and some aren’t. Bring a mask to pull up and down when you come across another group. Parking lot fills up pretty early.

Nice simple trail, starts off with some elevation climb. Fair amount of traffic along the way with some shade. Rocky path in parts. Nice bench at the 1/2 way point at the top.

I have it 4 stars because it seemed a little more than easy. The steepest portion is at the beginning right off the parking area. You have to walk up a very steep path which would not be good for small children and seniors. We followed the manzanita trail, but took it clockwise which was also steep. Next time we’ll do counter clockwise. Appreciated the colder misty rain because there are only a few shaded portions areas that are nice for warmer days. A well travelled trail. Expect to see many people and watch out for mountain bikers! Dogs allowed on-leash only.

Great trail! Would say it’s medium easy given the steep hill at the beginning. People on the trail need to be sure to social distance properly.

plenty of parking on the road but you can also pay to park in the lot. parking in the lot is free right now due to corona. trail was a bit busier than we had wanted though... some people keeping their distance, others clueless. single file is the rule at the park, please follow it!

Nice short trail close to town, dog friendly, Santa Cruz mountain and South Bay city views from the hilltop view area. Be sure to bring water for yourself and doggos at the top or if hot out. Shaded in some sections. Beware of bikers speeding downhill and move over.

Not a bad hike but a lot of mountain bikers flying along pretty fast...won’t bother doing it again.

First to Review

Once you get past the first “big climb” the rest is pretty easy. Great views of Lexington and if you make it to the Hilltop Vista - a great view of Santa Clara County. Clean trails, friendly people.
