Manzanita Creek trail is a very easy stroll through the woods (should not be rated moderate). There really isn't any great views along the way, and I was very disappointed with the end destination. A nice view of one of the peaks from the bottom of it, but no areas to sit. The trail just ends in the middle of the woods. I did not really notice a meadow since everything was overgrown. Because we were disappointed we continued past the creek and climbed up as far as we could. Once higher up we enjoyed a much better view of the landscape, but without this added adventure the trail is pretty uneventful. If you're looking for a nice 7 mile easy walk then go for it. If you are more of a thrill seeker and want a great view, hike Chaos Crags (Crags Lake) trail. The trailhead is very close to the beginning of this trail and there's a significantly better view at the end (it's also shorter and more moderate).

A nice, moderate hike through the pines, near Manzanita Creek (which you cross once over a culvert), with a pretty meadow at the end. Great views of Chaos Crags and Loomis Peak

Excellent trip! Be sure to check out the Cinder Cone volcano on the other side of the park. Spectacular views and a challenging hike but definitely worth it!

A great park worth visiting if you are in Northern CA!! Crowds are minimal compared to other NP in the state!
