A quick stroll to see Yosemite Falls, the tallest waterfall in Northern America and 5th in the world crash down on the rocks below. Open year round, this trail is easy but icy in the winter. This is a 1 mile/1.6 km loop which takes about 30 minutes to complete. Half of the loop is wheelchair accessible and leashed pets are allowed. The trailhead is at the Lower Yosemite Fall Trailhead (shuttle stop #6). This short, easy walk provides spectacular views of Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls and even Middle Cascade. Like all waterfalls in Yosemite, this waterfall is often dry from late July or August through October and is best seen in spring when the winter snow is melting and the upper lakes are full, significantly increasing the flow of the water over the edge.

Hard not to give every hike in Yosemite 5 stars, this is a super easy short hike but great to see lower Yosemite falls, we did this back in October so the falls were just a trickle but beautiful regardless

Make sure you rock scramble to the left of the Falls. There you can get away from some the crowds as well as see the Yosemite waterfall pool at the bottom. It’s a perfect snack or picnic stop with the mist hitting you.

We didn't park at the correct trail head so we added an extra mile but besides that, the trail is paved and very beautiful. It just rained this morning (dec 18th) so the flow was strong!

We walked this trail back in July. It was a pretty quick walk so we decided to go off the regular trail. We went over the rocks and right up to the falls. It was still flowing in July.

Nice hike but only 4 stars as the falls have dried up until snow melt in late spring. I’ll be back then.

Short easy paved trail. The waterfall was non-existent this time.

Beautiful short walk, sadly no water this time of year.

Nice walk but unfortunately there was no water. From the videos we’ve seen, that would be amazing. It was still impressive to look at.

We actually eloped at the bottom of the falls! Of course there was a crowd but I didn’t mind. The short paved trail was perfect for the few guests we had with us! We went in the middle of November and lucked out because it had rained pretty hard and the falls went from a trickle the previous day to a full on gushing waterfall the next day (our wedding day).

Easy, paved trail with great views but in the Fall the upper and lower falls are dry. Still great views.

Short, easy and pretty. But also unbelievably crowded with many people being their most annoying selves, showing absolutely no regard for anyone or anything else, just so they have the "perfect" Instagram picture...

Great easy hike! Paved the whole way. Did this hike with a large group with an age range from 3 months old (in a stroller) up to 82 years old. We came in a dry season, so we were able to climb around the boulders below the falls to get pretty close to the falls.

Very scenic and short hike. The hike is mainly on flat trail near Yosemite Valley. It is heavily trafficked because it is near the valley but there lots of room for everyone. The best part is climbing the rocks to get to the top of the lower falls and going for a dip after. Be prepared to get your feet wet. Some of the rocks may be slippery or you may have to walk through some areas of water to get to other rocks.

Easy. Fun. But lots of people.

Super easy walk with the kids. We took a trip to Yosemite for the first time and had a blast. Lots of people but enjoyed the waterfall and the views. It’s paced and not much elevation change so take the kids. We have 4 under the age of 6 and it’s was fun. Caves to explore on the way to the falls too.

Really only did that to fill the evening, there is nothing very special, unless you like being in crowds

Easy hike well paved also very crowded but the waterfall was pumping

Definitely an easy trail (it’s paved as well) and it is more highly trafficked but the view of the Yosemite fall is really nice - especially in late spring when the water’s roaring.

So amazing in the Spring to see the power of the water. Easy trail and allows you to get really close to the base of the falls.

Very easy walk straight to the bottom of Yosemite Falls - AMAZING view of the water fall as you walk to it - eventually you cross the bridge where the wind and mist soak you if you stand there long enough - we went in May when I think the water fall is at it’s peak strength.

We took our stroller and it was an easy leisurely walk.
