Gorgeous trail! Lots of shade along the way, provided by a vast amount of plants and trees that grow beside the creek, along the route. Very pleasant as it gets very hot throughout the day, even in the spring. There are several historical, crashed vehicles along the hillside, which are fascinating to explore. But if you are expecting to see a lake along the trail or at the end of it, you will be disappointed - the photo in the description is misleading. The lake depicted is Rock Creek Lake, which is about 15 miles SW of the trail.

First part of this trail is fairly difficult but then levels off and has beautiful views of creeks, wild flowers, and lakes.

Ranged from intermediate to advanced, with a small portion across a rock slide area (100 yds. Non-rideable, had to carry bike). Use caution as you are well removed from any assistance in the event of a medical difficulty. Overall, loads of fun, just take it easy.
