Really nice Moderat trail. Especially if you don’t have a lot of time it does have some rolling up and down but not too difficult. There’s a great trail if you wanna run. Has a really beautiful shade at Oak Grove towards the end with a bubbling brook. Recommended. I did see a rattlesnake and other hikers saw them too so be on the lookout for them.

Great trail. Super green and great packed dirt. A lot of areas get super tight so beware of people bombing down the trails

One of my favorite trail close to home. There are some flowers blooming. Lot of bikers with no bells so be careful hiking.

Beware of fast mountain bikers without bells.

We just started hiking a month ago. We did the today, counter-clockwise. There are a couple areas where it gets a bit steeper, but not tough, nice views up top. We took a turn and headed up higher going further south and then came back down same path for an additional 1.5 miles. It still only took 95 minutes and that is with a 5 minute rest at the top to enjoy the view.

This hike has a little bit of everything. Going counter-clockwise the front half has a little bit of elevation gain and not much shade. The latter half is well shaded and mostly downhill except for the last small section on Moorpark Rd. Nice views on the way up and around Vista Loop. Not too many people out as I only saw a few mountain bikers.

My favorite and most beautiful hiking trail!

We went clockwise around the trail. Pretty easy to follow. Mostly incline for the first half and decline for the second half. It starts off narrow but turns into a much wider trail pretty early on and stays that way. You’ll see birds, lizards, and mountain bikers in August. And if you follow our exact path, there’s a pretty nice view of the surrounding area at the halfway point. I recommend it for a pretty good workout if it’s hot.

This was a pretty good trail. The beginning is all open sun with only a few shady spots to stop for a second. The incline was in little spirts, not all at once which was great for my kids. A mile in, you come to a shady area with a bench and a dried up river (in August). You then start climbing up to the highest point. At the 2 mile mark you reach the vista point overlooking all of conejo valley and begin your descend. You finally reach an area where you cross a bridge and enter this forest type area which is rather beautiful in the late afternoon. The trail exits on a side street and you walk back on the main road to the beginning trailhead.

I enjoy this trail a lot. I do it often. Some parts remind me of being in a forest. There is a fork at one point. That allows you to get to Trifuno Park in westlake. Shows it’s about another 3 miles from that marker. It’s a very nice hike. Some areas where you start to climb. Nothing too crazy but it can get your heart rate up there.

One of the coolest things about this trail is that the beginning features tall trees that create a shady canopy so you feel like you're in Northern California. After that, the trail is kind of boring for a while, and kind of narrow and overgrown in places. There isn't much shade anywhere else. Once you get up the hill, the single-track path widens and takes you to a meadow-like area (no shade) where you can do the Vista Loop and also turn off onto various other trails, so follow your map carefully and don't get lost. The views from the Vista Loop are beautiful, and there's an interesting contrast of the 101 Freeway, Newbury Park, and civilization on one side and open space and farmland on the other. It felt very desolate, which could either be a good thing or creepy depending on your disposition. The loop trail is steep in places and I was glad I had my hiking poles, but a fit hiker with good knees would be fine without poles.

Pleasant 3.5 mile hike. Starts out on Los Robles with gradual ascent. Then transitions to Vista Loop with nice panoramic of Conejo Valley. Ends on Los Padres with plenty of shade provided by large oaks.

It was a decent and short trail. Easy workout. Wish people would pick up their pet poop on the trail.

Not a ton of wildflowers (hiked 3/17), but nicely vegetated with a pleasant oak-shaded brook at the end.

Good hike with amazing views. Climb is worth a 360 panorama view. Lots of bikers on the trail so be aware of your surroundings.
