HikingGreat!

Went for the sunset today, and it didn’t disappoint. Well maintained and a really pleasant hike. Not too many people. Would recommend.

Running

Too many people, many of whom fail to mask or observe basic trail etiquette. I tried to run it but just impossible, even at ~1700 on a Sunday. The views were mostly of people.

Beautiful views so close to LA, but as noted very crowded on the weekend by mid-morning. Parked a half mile from the trail head and narrow trail up to the first lookout was packed. Despite a mask mandate, many hikers did not find the need. Next time will pick an off day.

Today was the perfect weather for this hike. Great view the entire way up and down. With clear skies, we had a view of the DTLA skyline all the way to the coastline. Would definitely do this one again!

HikingGreat!

Went at 6am on a Saturday and didn't see a single person on the way up, maybe 3 or 4 people at the top. Headed back down around 7am and was swimming against a steady stream of people. I'd say 1 in 4 people weren't wearing a mask. If you go on a weekend morning, go early to avoid the crowds because the trail is pretty narrow so it's near impossible to keep your distance when passing people. Really nice views for such a short hike. Parking is easy and there's plenty of it.

Great trail with beautiful views! Steep drop offs as you get closer to the top, so beware if you’re afraid if heights like myself.

Moderate trail with a little bit of rough terrain. Beautiful views all around shade along the way until you’re getting close to the top. Many lookout points and places to take a couple moments to rest. Definitely will this trail again. My suggestion is to keep plenty of water stay hydrated and go early in the morning as it gets warmer in the middle of the day.

Loved the trail itself, a little challenging. However the trails are really narrow and have tons of people. Lots of people without their masks that don’t seem to care.

Nice views at the top, but simply too many people without masks for the first narrow half of the trail.

This is a beautiful trail. The first part is like a fairy garden, with plenty of shade from natural arcs made from tree branches. However be warned— it’s very narrow. We did this hike on Valentines Day (a Sunday) and it was very busy. On top of all that, only about 50% of people on this first part of the were wearing their masks. Absurd. I recommend wearing a surgical mask over a bandana for this one. There were also lots of dogs even though they’re not allowed on this trail. All that aside, the vistas are beautiful. On a clear day, you can see the ocean, downtown, and snow capped mountains. The second part of the trail is wide and easy to socially distance on. It was also less trafficked. Inclines weren’t so bad on the knees, but definitely moderate difficulty. This hike is beautiful, go on a weekday and bring your mask!!!
