The inside loop is nice, but the counter clockwise hike is right on Highway 17. You can hear the traffic from the both areas. Not my favorite thing. But getting to Lexington Reservoir feels like a big accomplishment on this trail. There are a lot of people on the trail. There is shade and forest shading and a creek.

Great hike.

It’s rocky, but it has its beauty, I really liked it. Tons of people and most wearing masks.

4 stars due to: Noise from the closed to the trail highway, not clean at the area near the creek 5 stars could be given due to: views. flowers, the lake, trail maintenance Tips: lack of space at the parking lot, but there is enough space at the upper streets during weekend. Shadow is around 15% and may be challenging during hot days. Most of trail suitable for bikes and busy, so up to your consideration. Personal KPIs :-): Collected garbage along the route - 2 bags (1 bag = 1 gallon, UCL: 1, UDL: 2, Target: 0)

You can hear cars passing highway 17 all the way on the rout. I don’t recommend for calm hike in the nature.

A perfect place for a quick hike. There are a few good views and it is a little crowded and a lot of cyclist, but overall it's a great workout up and a pleasant stroll downhill.

straightforward up then down, more friendly incline for clockwise. narrow somewhere for letting runners/bikers pass by, very convenient traffic, good location right by downtown

Well maintained and relatively busy trail. Mountain lion territory with latest sighting Aug 9. Moderate difficulty during a few steeper bits. Lots of runners and bikers. Close to a motorway for a while. About 20% shade, most of it on the (counter clockwise) return stretch. Mornings are likely to have clouds, though. The 4 stars are for the loop at the hill top with nice views and moderate difficulty.

Good workout. Very close to the highway and lots of people on the trail. One or two nice views.

Probably good for hiking, but for mountain biking there are extremely hard and dangerous parts on the way back from the hill, specifically the Flume trail part alongside the creek. I’d recommend taking Los Gatos creek trail on the way back, too, instead of doing the loop. Pretty good and moderately challenging climb otherwise.

I’m not a fan of the trail alongside the noisy highway. Other than that it was an easy 6 miles with an enjoyable view
