A great West Valley paved path/trail for biking, mountain biking, jogging, and birding. A good starting point from Campbell Park the paved trail extends through Vasona Park, Downtown Los Gatos, and on to Lexington Reservoir and more challenging dirt road mountain bike climbs. Los Gatos Creek and ponds along the way offer good birding opportunities. The paved path makes a 2 mile loop from Campbell park to a pedestrian bridge at San Thomas Expressway. The east side of the loop has a 1 mile single track trail good for a quick mountain bike ride any time of the year.

A great go-to hike when I want to take the dogs. There is a nice spot by the river that the dogs can go into the water to play. Go amount of shade as well throughout the first half of the hike.

Noisy road near by and smelly pipe along the trail. I didn't like it.

Wanted easy for my first ride in many years. Didn’t expect all the hills on the LGC Trail part, then up to Lex Res. Another big set of hills on the way up to Jones. Couldn’t make it on my bike. Great workout but kicked my butt. Definitely not a leisure ride but I will absolutely do it again. Next time I’ll do it in reverse and start on Jones.

Good challenge if you’re between easy and moderate.

I walk this trail with my girlfriend on the regular. One of our “go to” hikes if we just want an easy ... paved paved path to walk and talk.

Mostly shaded, some sunny spots, decent elevation. Great afternoon hike that loops through downtown Los Gatos and the St. Joseph Open Space Preserved close to Lexington Reservoir.

We went there with our dog. It was pretty difficult for us... first part of the trail without shade, so it was very hot, also was very noisy since you walk near the road. The second part was more shady (we also saw a snack). Next to the creek it’s really nice and there are some places where you can get closer and get inside the creek. Overall it was nice.

Well I’m a newbie to hiking-this was not easy for me, but I’ve done it three times and am getting faster-lots if uphill but a great hike

Not trail running per se, but I would run the entire length of LGCT to it’s termination at Meridian Ave in San Jose, a round trip of 18 miles, as part of a marathon training. It was perfect.

This is a very nice and pretty trail. It's an easy walk/hike and yet gets your heart rate up in some areas. There are few spots with a nice view. It's very close to downtown LG which makes it very convenient.

late afternoon around 5 pm was mostly shaded. sounds of the rushing water was very pleasant in Los Gatos creek. unfortunately, noise from adjacent highway 17 can be heard for much of the trail.
