I spent a couple of wonderful hours strolling the paths of this very special place, today. One almost forgets that Los Angeles is all around.

If you need a quick escape from the urban jungle of Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Arboretum is a good place to go. The moment you cross through the main gate, you leave the angry streets of LA behind, and enter a lush oasis of nature and beauty. The entrance fee is $9:00 for a single adult entrance. One can also purchase an annual family pass for $75. The air is relatively fresh, and the botanical garden is excellent. I wandered much of the afternoon, and logged just over 4 miles on my pedometer.
