Llewellyn Falls Loop Trail is a 13.3 mile lightly trafficked loop trail located near Topaz, California that features a river and is rated as moderate. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until October. Dogs and horses are also able to use this trail.
I didn't find the starting point for this intended hike, so my hike was up much higher elevation (more like 7,000 ft). The drive was a dusty dirt road. My dog loved it there, and not many people for a Saturday so the dog could run off leash. Once back into one of the trail heads, I saw lots of bear scat and downed trees with claw marks. I was much more cautious here in the tight quarters of the wooded trail. All in all, it was a nice hike.
