Nice views and fun

Trail to Little Yosemite is very easy - could easily take a stroller along it. Some portions had shade. The portion of the Canyon View Trail I did was stunning. No shade at all, though.

Super easy trail. It was a little crowded on the paved portion, if you’re doing that try and get there early. We went down to the creek, super easy to get to, and maybe 10 degrees cooler. If you get hot just head down there. The end of our hike took us through some cow grazing areas, be careful of dung and don’t try and pet them. We always take a linen bag on our hikes and filled it up with trash we found on the trail. Please do the same and try and keep the area clean and beautiful

A nice, easy stroll. Incredibly beautiful, green pastures for miles. This app helped keep us on track. Thank you!

This trail is fantastic! I can’t wait to come back and do it in the spring and possibly use the backpacking camps in the Ohlone Wilderness. One note, if going counter-clockwise, there is a steep section of McCorkle trail going through a small ravine and the trail splits. Stay to the right. If you go left, you will end up next to the cattle pens. This will connect with Canyon View after ducking under some trees and you can go either left and reconnect with Ohlone Road or right and get back on McCorkle (better option). All in all this is a great hike, and fantastic training if you’re gearing up for larger hikes/backpacking trips like I am. Also steer clear of the cows and try not to get in between momma and the calf!

Got there after work and started around 6. Saw a cougar walking in the middle of the Canyon View Trail. I was walking alone (4’9”) but getting away safely. Left Canyon View Trail and saw a rattlesnake later on the sideway of the Mccorkle Trail and making mad rattling noise. Decided to turn back and finish the loop and saw the cougar was still there, chilling and sitting on the trail. Probably just had a big great dinner? A lot of Poison Oak but personally thought the red leaves were pretty nice as long as being cautious. Great adventurous afterwork walking but maybe tried to avoid dusk time if going alone.

Great trail although we could not finish it, the peak height of this trail takes you through some sketchy spots. We saw a lot of folks w kids and dogs turning back also. Will try again with more appropriate gear

This is a beautiful trail that gives you many chances to explore. Instead of taking the route shown, we followed the main trail that looks like a fire road all the way up to little Yosemite. There’s many small paths along this main trail that take you down to the creek which can be a refreshing break on hot days. My advice would be to start you journey early before it gets too hot - pack lots of sunscreen and water. The weather was forecasted to be 85 but it actually rose to over 100! Once you get to little Yosemite it’s fun to climb around and take a dip in one of the many pools. Definitely a treat on a hot day!

If you’re looking for the water feature Little Yosemite, it’s worth it. Beautiful but be careful because the rocks and path is hard to navigate without the right shoes. Suggest going earlier in the day and bring a great camera to capture the running stream and nature shots.
