Little Yosemite is a 2.2 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Sunol, California that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round.
We went off the trail and went farther and did a harder hike than expected. Keep on the loop unless you are up for a harder hike. Took us 7.3 hrs to get back to the parking lot. Signs are not very good for showing you how to get back so take a map. This app was the reason we found the way back.
The trail is big and spacious, I love how you can rear off the main trail to check out nearby creeks and explore. It was very busy and we got there around 10 ish. Lots of dogs but they were all on leash and not bothersome at all. I really liked how they had a lot of available parking as well. This is a really nice and easy trail
Really enjoyable trail! Very accessible for families, we even saw strollers, and dogs as well. Lots of opportunities to veer off the main path and explore the river and rocks. A bit crowded, but almost everyone was wearing masks and distancing themselves. For dog owners, be aware we encountered many dogs off leash on the trail. Our pup didn’t mind, but some dogs might get agitated by other dogs running up to them. Overall, a nice “getaway.”
It was very enjoyable for the most part for an afternoon winter hike. This place is no comparison though during summer time. Nice paved road with no mud after a rain.
