Not spectacular by most YNP standards but very enjoyable because there are no people around. Compared to the valley it's a sanctuary where you can hear yourself think. If you are on a dirt bike this leads into an immense, legal system of fire roads and trails that go all the way to Coulterville.

Loved this unexpected spur of the moment hike. Wanted to escape the crowds in the valley and Tioga was still closed so we chose this one since we hadn’t been to west Yosemite before. Started out as a pretty plain hike on a nice wife dirt fire road that gradually climbed uphill. The trail rolled along with wide vistas of far away mountains and hills. Half Dome and El Cap in the distance. About 2/3 of the way it starts to descend and becomes more wooded culminating in a wonderful waterfall. Not even sure it was Little Nellie as it flooded the path and we couldn’t cross it to complete the last half mile. We were very happy with whatever falls we saw though pretty sure it must have been Little Nellie. Can’t say whether it would be that magnificent at other, dryer times of the year, but lovely in April!

Great hike starting in Foresta. We were staying in a cabin nearby and this made for a great Saturday hike outside of the valley. Will attach a photo with our route. Ended up being about 9miles with little Nellie falls as the highlight. Saw some mule deer. No people was amazing!!

Nice relatively easy trail to a nice waterfall. Pretty much impossible to get lost as you follow a road /fire road the entire way. Hardly any shade. We only met one other person on trail. This is the hike if you want to be away from the crowds.
