This trail is officially called the North Shore National Recreation Trail. Trailhead can be hard to find, follow these directions. Head to the North Shore Campground. No day parking here but you can park on the street about a 5 minute walk from the campground. Walk up to the campground, keep walking straight past several campsites. Keep straight. Near campsite #11 you will see a large sign for North Shore National Recreation Trail. You found it. Now, after a very short walk on the trail, you will intersect a dirt fire road. Cross the road and the trail will continue. Do not start walking down the fire road. Just cross it. From there you should be good for the rest of the hike.
