Completed this little hike on 1/18/21 before the snowstorms. Easy drive to get there, good parking and not crowded! Because of snow, and ice, I really recommend a good pair of yaxtrax or spikes for your boots to avoid slipping. The views from little baldy are just stunningly beautiful, and a great payoff for a short hike!!

Oh man, this was such a great trail! & the view was absolutely beautiful!! I would hike this over & over again. There was some snow & some parts were either icy or there was slush so definitely wear a good pair of hiking boots.

HikingGreat!Icy

The trail was very icy but manageable without snow spikes. The view at the top was absolutely breathtaking. It was like standing above the clouds! Fairly moderate hike with a good amount of switchbacks, so I would agree with the rating. I was the only one on the trail in the morning.

Completed in October 2020. Amazing 360 view at the peak - my friend and I were by ourselves for at least 20-30 minutes. Highly recommend. Short mellow hike.

The views at the top were amazing! You feel like you are on top of the world. There were a few snowy/icy patches, but nothing major. I didn’t have poles or any special shoe attachments, and I got along just fine. It’s a bit out of the way from the majority of the other trails, but it’s definitely worth it.

Did this yesterday after doing Big Baldy. It was tiring. All uphill but not too tough. Took about an hour and a half up and 45 minutes down. Some areas were slushy and some a little icy. Bring hiking pools and shoes with good tread. It was a beautiful hike with great views. I think the view was better on Little Baldy then Big Baldy. Both were great.

Great hike! Good way to ease into the park with a gradual incline and incredible view! The top is spectacular. Pretty much exactly 3 miles up and back. Wear good shoes.

Beautiful hike with a great view. Steady incline but nothing strenuous. Even with a little smoke, the panoramic view was incredible.

Hiking

Beautiful hike up to some spectacular views across the canyon. The first 1.2 miles is fairly uphill. Then there are two little flat spots and finally a last push to get to the rock. When you finally come upon the rock, stay to the left and keep going and you'll come straight onto the big rock that juts out over the valley. There is no water on the trail so carry accordingly. Please do NOT build little rock towers, they are not symbolic of anything, unless you perform the correct prayers and chants and rituals. In fact, by building these you are destroying millions of micro organisms that have taken decades or centuries to grow and are vital to the environment you're in, and by doing so you have essentially gone against everything Buddhism stand for, and your purported rock tower is supposed to symbolise.

The trail was very gradual and enjoyable, you could take your time to look around. A lot of people talk about the views at the top but the views on the way up were also beautiful. Loved the one section with baby fir trees. Lots of shade until top.
