This area is amazing. It's secluded and has incredible scenery (a blend of desert, canyons, and mountains). The trail itself is well-maintained and offers great views throughout. There are quite a bit of gnats, so consider bringing some bug spray. And if you're going on a hot day, make sure to start early. A large portion of the trail is exposed.

Beautiful trail starting in the San Andreas fault and climbing to the top of the Liebre Mountain. Lots of interesting views, and flora that's different than what you'll see elsewhere in LA County: big cone pines, big cone spruce, California buckeye, etc.
